The PR Experience is a jazz duo comprised of Trumpeter, Nelson Render and Trombonist, Marvin Pryor. These two musicians represent over fifty years of performance experience and are based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Pryor, born in Clermont, Florida, grew up between South Carolina and Connecticut and received his formal music training at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Render, was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia and received his formal music training at Florida A&M University and Delaware State University.

Their collective professional experiences include tours, performances, recordings, opening acts with groups such as: The OHIO Players, Cameo, Ray Charles, Mike Phillips, Rick Braun, Christopher Williams, Claudia Hayden, Alex Bugnon, Najee, Eric Roberson, Mike Phillips, Chi-Lites, The Dells, Third World, and many others. 


These vast experiences in music and performance inspired them to create their own band, uniquely featuring a horn front ensemble with a blended style of jazz, funk, and neo-soul.

Moreover, The PR Experience has been the preferred entertainment provider for celebrities such as Rickey Smiley, Robin Givens, and Judge Glenda Hatchet. They appeared as the trumpeter and trombonist in the Lifetime Network movie remake "Steel Magnolias", directed by Kenny Leon, and were featured guests on Fox 5’s Good Day Atlanta, KCOH Houston's Jazz radio, Boomboxfm.com, WCLK 91.9, radio talk shows “The Conversation”, and The Fashion Plate.

The exciting and intriguing stage performances of The PR Experience have garnered headlining performances at the Stone Mountain Jazz Festival, Jazz on the River in Columbus, GA, IMR Indie Music Festival, the Sweet Auburn Festival, Atlanta’s Wednesday Wind Down, Mosaic RAW International Artist Showcase, and Praise 102.5/97.5 Gospel Jazz Showcase. Recently, they were selected to perform for Anthem's 2016 International Music Festival.

The PR Experience’s awards include: the 2015 RAW Atlanta Musician of the Year, GA Music Awards 2014 Jazz Artist of the Year, nominated as “Atlanta’s Hottest Band” in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 and finished in the top 4 in the national WeDemand band contest. Featured on their latest CD, #thatswhatsup, their song, "Take A Walk With Me", won 2015 Jazz Song of the Year, as voted by the International Music and Entertainment Association, Inc.
